Feast of the Flying Cow… and other stories of war

National Playwrights Conference, 1997 2014 Kilroy List, Honorable Mention  Runner Up, Bug n’ Bub Award

Audrey, a socialite turned relief worker, finds herself in a war-torn nation awarding a free feast and celebrity-style photo shoot to the besieged family of Anya Andonov. Trapped in a world that is as absurd and laughable, as it is brutal, Anya and Audrey struggle to salvage their feast as the world around them spirals into collapse.

“Intellectually arresting and darkly comic… a thoroughly engrossing and provocative evening of theatre. Not to be missed.
— David Marlowe, Colorado Out FrontQuote Source
Somewhere in a contemporary war-torn country, a ravaged apartment is hit by another shell. More plaster falls from the ceiling. Anya, the lady of the house (and shell-shocked herself), mechanically grabs a broom and sweeps. It is, as the saying goes, like rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic — a moment of genuinely tragic comedy.
