Kandahar

Against a suburban backdrop of suicide, lawn darts and affairs of heart, Ginger and Freddie Hofsteadler discover that the most dangerous game is indeed life, and the most lethal opponent… one’s own heart.  Inspired by Arthur Schnitzler’s 1910 masterpiece Das weite LandKandahar  traverses the unknowable peaks and the chaotic depth of the human heart.

  • Ginger Hofsteadler – 40s. Hof’s wife.

  • Mara Wahl – 40s. Divorced.

  • Erna Wahl – 18. Mara Wahl’s Daughter.

  • Otto Zoric – 20’s. A soldier.

  • Mike Pran (Dr. Mike) – Late 20s. A Medical Resident. 1st generation American.

  • Stan – 40s/50s. Next door neighbor. On disability but no one remembers why.

  • Nanette – 40s, but pretends she’s younger.

  • Ana Zoric – 40s, but ageless. A trans woman, and biological father. She runs the Inn at Vesto.
